Save the mermaids, cut your soda can rings before you throw them away! This strip was partly inspired by a beach clean-up that my NCCC team and I recently participated in during our time in Hawaii. There was just so much garbage on this one beach and it wasn't even a beach that had public access, no all this trash came from all over the world and has washed up on the shores here and it happens all the time. As human beings everything we do really does have a significant impact on the world around us. The WHOLE world. Here's a photo from the beach clean up, in addition to our team ten there was also a large number of volunteers and together we managed to pick up around 3000 pounds of garbage in an afternoon, which unfortunately didn't even scratch thesurface of what was already there and what will wash up there in the future. The only real solution is if people become more aware of what happens to their trash after they are rid of it and we all work towards a better solution to this problem we all face. Be sure to be back here next week for this month's comic, part one of The Vaginal Avengers: Red Vag of Courage.

The first in a series of Harry Potter related strips, Meanwhile in Hufflepuff is the perspective of Hogwart's students from the most insignificant house in the school, Hufflepuff, as the events of the Harry Potter series unfold. Naturally Harry Potter is just a great big story topping jerk. Remember, there is a facebook page now, like it, and it shall like you.

The first Happy Lil' Lumberjack strip! I probably had a unit on the revolutionary war almost every year when I was in school, though I would not let this strip give you any impressions about what I actually learned, I'm well aware of the fact that T-rexs didn't side with the British. Super excited about how this first month of my new comics initiative is going to go, please continue to promote my page to all of your friends, word of mouth (or type) is super essential right now to turning my web comic into a successful web comic (I'll consider it successful when I start getting complete strangers reading my stuff.)
Welcome to the new and improved blog, Happy Lil' Lumberjack, the Web comics and illustrations of Avery Bailie! Not much has changed aside from the name and look but expect more frequent updates and more comics. Comic strips weekly every Wednesday and a full length comic on the last Wednesday of every month with commentary! Also if you haven't yet become a fan of my facebook page heres the URL here just for you;
If you like what you see go and tell your friends and spread the plaid cladded goodness, your support is greatly appreciated.

...In Comics! Boy I bet that was alarming for those of you who just saw that entry title, but need not worry I intend to live a full and healthy life filled with excitement and (mostly) good choices. What I do mean however is that this is the final entry in my blog "My Life In Comics" as you know it, and in the tradition of the comics I so admire, I will be rebooting the blog into something new. Later this week things are going to change drastically with this blog including title, focus and other things. To all those who have followed me this long, thank you for your support and your readership and I look forward to seeing you on the other side... of this reboot, see what I did there, I totally made it sound like I was dying again!
